Wmf
Authentic piece of turn-of-the-century German metalware: an Antique WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) Jugendstil / Art Nouveau Brass Spirit Kettle on Stand, dating to circa 1900–1910. Crafted in Germany, this rare collectible beautifully captures the flowing lines of the Art Nouveau movement and early geometric Secessionist design. The kettle features a unique tapered, square-paneled body adorned with elegant, raised neoclassical ribbon-and-wreath motifs. This is a complete, 3-piece modular set comprising: Water Kettle: Primary brass body with an integrated top handle. Warming Stand: Ornate tripod base with draped wreath detailing. Spirit Burner: Original removable central alcohol burner. Maker's Mark & Authenticity Stamped on the base with the highly sought-after, genuine WMF Ostrich Mark (Straußenmarke). This historical stamp definitively proves its origin from the renowned factory in Geislingen, Germany, ensuring its high value for collectors. Material: Solid Brass exterior; original protective tin-lined interior. Dimensions: Approx. 11 H x 7 1/2 W. Condition: Very good antique condition given its 120+ year age. Shows a gorgeous, authentic warm brass patina with minor surface scratches, tiny character dents, and natural oxidation. Note: Solder point on the base has separated (see pictures); otherwise, no structural damage. Tin lining is largely intact with typical age-related scaling.100% complete.
