Vintage Taxco Mexico 925 Sterling Silver Black Onyx Post Earrings 23.8g TB-157

Bold vintage Taxco Mexican sterling silver earrings featuring large oval black onyx cabochons.  The glossy black stones are bezel-set within ornate openwork sterling silver frames with scrolling edges and twisted-rope detailing. Their substantial construction and dramatic size give them a wonderful Southwestern statement look.  Each earring is marked TB-157, MEXICO and 925 on the reverse. TB-157 is the registered Mexican silversmith code.  Good vintage condition with light age-related wear, surface scratches and natural patina consistent with use. The black cabochons appear securely set, and both posts are intact and functional. These are substantial earrings, weighing approximately 23.8 grams combined.
